MEET DIESEL: 7 YEARS OLD & STILL WAITING FOR HIS TURN 
Diesel has been sitting at Glen Rose Shelter since June 1st. Think about that for a minute.
While other dogs have gone home, Diesel has watched the days come and go from behind a kennel door. And for a dog who is this wonderfully easygoing, we just can't understand why his person hasn't found him yet. The good news? We have an opportunity to save Diesel. The catch? We need a foster. Diesel sounds like the kind of dog who would make a wonderful companion.

 Recently, Diesel got to go on a Doggy Day Out with Emmy, and he was the perfect little road-
trip buddy. The two rode together in the car without a problem, and Diesel was calm, relaxed,
and perfectly content to take in everything happening around him. He's not the dog who needs
constant entertainment. He's not the dog demanding to be the center of attention. He's the
dog who can simply hang out with you. Maybe that's what makes Diesel so special.
He originally arrived as a stray after showing up on someone's property, so we don't know what his life looked like before the shelter. We don't know if someone once called him their best
friend. We don't know if he had a favorite chair, a favorite toy, or a person waiting for him
somewhere. What we do know is that Diesel has spent months waiting for someone to notice him. We hope that someone is you. Diesel doesn't need someone to fix him. He doesn't need someone to teach him how to be a good dog. He just needs someone willing to open a door
and say's Come on, Diesel. Your wait is over.
Diesel needs a foster so we can get him out of the shelter and give him the chance he deserves.
He is arriving in Maine on 10/10/26! Could you be the person who gives this sweet boy his first
real chance at home forever?
Sometimes the dogs who have been waiting the longest are the ones who have the most love
left to give. Let's get Diesel out of that kennel and onto a comfy bed where he belongs.

We don't know everything about Presley's past yet, but we do know this:
She is 12 years old. She is only 11 pounds. And she should not have to spend her golden years

warm coat, a little encouragement, and someone standing nearby saying, “Yep, that's snow,

Presley isn't asking for much. She doesn't need a life full of excitement or a packed calendar. She just needs a lap to curl up in, a warm bed, a loving person, and a forever home.
At 12 years old, Presley shouldn't have to start over again.
She deserves to finish her story surrounded by love. ❤️

Meet Snoopy, a sweet little 9-year-old, 11-pound mixed breed who has absolutely no
idea what a Maine winter is all about!
Snoopy was surrendered for unknown reasons, and now this little Texas boy is making
his way north. ❤️
He loves laps, cuddles, and being close to his people. At only 11 pounds, he was
practically made to curl up beside you! And then there’s the snow… ❄️
Snoopy has NEVER seen snow before! Imagine those tiny little paws experiencing their first fluffy white winter. 
He doesn’t need much. Just a warm home, a soft bed, a loving lap, and someone to
show him that his best days are still ahead.

Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Pebbles, a 6-year-old, 51-pound Pit Bull mix who has
absolutely ZERO interest in following conventional beauty standards.
His ears? Freelancing. His facial expressions? Questionable.
His overall appearance? A one-of-a-kind masterpiece. His personality? 10/10. No notes. 
Pebbles isn't your cookie-cutter dog. He is more of a limited-edition, slightly wonky, deluxe model. And honestly... we wouldn't change a thing. This boy is fully vetted, dog friendly, sweet as can be, and ready for someone to fall head over heels for him. Pebbles is the kind of dog who doesn't walk into a room and think, “Do I look handsome?” He walks in thinking. “Where are my people and what are we doing?” He's got the kind of face that makes you smile, the kind of personality that makes you laugh, and the kind of heart that makes you wonder why someone hasn't scooped him up already. At 8 years young, Drew officially decided that the working world is overrated.
The 9-to-5? He’s done. The hustle? Not interested. The shelter life? Absolutely not. Drew is
ready to retire, cash in his 401(k), and spend his golden years doing what he does best: sleeping
on soft blankets, collecting cuddles, and enjoying the good life. This handsome Pitbull mix is
coming all the way from Texas, and he’s about to experience something completely new: his
very first winter and his very first snow!
We’re doing our best to prepare him for his big northern adventure, but we have a feeling Drew
may take one look at snow and wonder why anyone would voluntarily put ice on the ground.
We think he deserves a cozy retirement home where he can learn all about snow from the
comfort of a warm bed.

Hi, I’m Oscar!

Hi there! My name is Oscar, and I’m an 8-year-old Blue Heeler with a big personality, a serious
love of tennis balls, and a few little quirks that make me unique.
I LOVE BALLS. Throw it, and I’m on it! Throw it again, and I’m ready! Don’t worry, I’ll bring it
right back because I understand that this game only works if I do my part. I could chase my ball
all day long. Seriously. You might get tired before I do. I’m also house trained, crate trained, and
I know my basic commands. I’m a good boy who knows my manners, and I ride very nicely in
the car. I’m always happy to go for a ride because you never know where the road might take
you.
I should probably warn you about one thing, though. I have very strong feelings about trucks
pulling flatbed trailers. A truck by itself? A flatbed trailer sitting by itself? An enclosed trailer? A
truck pulling a flatbed trailer? Absolutely not. Nobody is quite sure why. Maybe that
combination reminds me of my previous owner. Maybe something from my past made me
nervous about them. Whatever the reason, I have an opinion about it. The funny thing is, if the
the trailer is parked, I'm okay with it. If it's enclosed, I'm okay with it. Its apparently the truck +
flatbed trailer combination that makes my brain say, Nope. We don't like this. So, while I can't
explain my reasoning, I hope you will understand that sometimes dogs carry little pieces of their
past with them.
Now let's talk about food. I am a very picky eater. Fruits? No thank you. Vegetables? Hard pass.
Carrots? Who told you I wanted those? Green beans? Please. I have taste, people. I know what I
like, and fruits and vegetables are NOT on the Oscar menu.
I'm also a Texas boy. This will be my first winter and my very first-time seeing snow! I have no
idea what this mysterious white stuff is, but I'm told it's coming. I'm hoping it's basically a giant
tennis ball playground.
I'm also hoping someone will be there to show me the ropes, keep me warm. I may be 8 years
old, but I still have plenty of life, plenty of play, and SO much love left to give. What I'm really
looking for isn't complicated. I want someone who will throw my ball. Someone who will laugh
at my silly little quirks. Who will be patient when something from my past makes me nervous.
Someone who will let me discover snow at my own pace, someone who will look at an 8-year-
old Blue Heeler and see not an old dog, but a good boy who still has so many adventures ahead
of him. I've spent part of my life knowing what it feels like to have a person. Now I'm hoping to
find the person who will be my person for good.
